FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. When performing antiglaucoma operations involving the joint use of the Ahmed valve and the Glautex drainage, Ahmed valve implantation is performed. In this case, the Glautex drain coupling is first put on the Ahmed's valve body in a diagonal direction, laying the drain under the valve base, and fixed to the sclera when the valve is threaded with non-absorbable threads. Then the Ahmed valve is fixed with the second suture.
EFFECT: method improves indicators of tonography, prevents formation of a capsule around the body of the drain valve, and also removes the pain syndrome and allows the eyeball to be preserved in terminal glaucoma.
