SUBSTANCE: system comprises at least one sheet-like mantle, preferably a foil, which is especially preferred exhibiting elastic properties, at least one top plate and at least one bottom plate. Top plate comprises a protrusion and the bottom plate comprises a groove so that the bottom plate of one system can be fit into a top plate of another system resulting in a stable stack. Top plate and bottom plate comprise a rim to be attached to the outer surface of the mantle in order to guide, fix and stabilise the mantle horizontally and vertically, and the at least one top plate comprises a declination descending to the outer periphery of the top plate. In the method of manufacturing the above-described system, the mantle and the plates are made by extrusion, foil blowing, deep-drawing, casting or moulding, preferably by extrusion of the mantle and moulding of the top and bottom plates. Invention also relates to a method of packaging an insulating material in a system and to the use of the system.
