FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Wireless communication device 108 and method for assisting in the pre-encoder selection for wireless communication with the radio node 106 (RN), and RN 106 to perform the pre-encoder selection for wireless communication with the wireless communication device 108. Wireless communication device is provided with plurality of pre-encoders. Wireless communication device determines the certain pre-encoders subset from plurality of pre-encoders; and transmits to the RN at least one sounding reference signal (SRS), pre-encoded by the corresponding at least one precoder contained in the said subset. RN receives from the wireless communication device at least one SRS, pre-encoded by the corresponding at least one pre-encoder contained in the certain subset of the pre-encoders; and transmits to the wireless communications device some signal indicating the selected pre-encoder, which must be used during transmission to the RN, at that, the selected pre-encoder is indirectly selected based on the at least one received SRS.

EFFECT: technical result is improved performance in the wireless communication network.
