FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel 6xxx aluminium alloys used in various industries. Article made of a deformable 6xxx aluminium alloy, comprising, wt%: 1.05-1.40 Mg, from 0.70 to 0.90 Si, wherein (wt% Mg) / (wt% Si) ranges from 1.40 to 1.90, 0.35-0.50 Cu, less 0.05 V, less 0.05 Zr, from 0.05 to 0.30 Fe, from 0.05 to 0.15 Mn, not more than 0.30 Cr and from 0.01 to 0.10 Ti, the balance consists of aluminium and impurities, wherein the content of each impurity does not exceed 0.05, and the total content of impurities is not more than 0.15, wherein the article is in the form of a sheet, plate, extruded profile or forging.
EFFECT: invention is directed to an improved combination of two or more characteristics, such as strength, fracture toughness, fatigue strength and corrosion resistance.
