METHOD OF COMPRESSION ULTRASOUND ENDORECTAL ELASTOGRAPHY OF NEOPLASMS OF RECTUM Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B8/08

Abstract RU 2662901 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasound diagnosis and coloproctology, and can be used for differential ultrasound diagnosis of neoplasms of the rectum. Ultrasound endorectal dopplerography and compression elastography are performed using a linear rigid sensor with a frequency of 7.5–10 MHz in real time. Perform examinations at the patient's knee-elbow position or in the supine position on the left side. Examine the tumor all over. Place the linear sensor in the latex can. Tight fit of the sensor to the investigated area of the rectum is made. Locate the scanning plane of the sensor parallel to the plane of the investigated area of the rectum. Perform in the process of ultrasonic compression endorectal elastography linear sensor rhythmic alternation of cycles of mechanical action: compression – stretching throughout the investigated tumor. If there is a thickening of the rectum wall due to the mucous layer, differentiation of submucosal and muscle layers with unbroken angioarchitectonics and tree vascularization, a mosaic type of color mapping with a uniform distribution of areas of blue and green, in the presence of single loci of yellow color and a stiffness coefficient of less than 5.745 units diagnose a benign tumor of a rectum. If there is a thickening of the rectum wall due to the mucous layer, differentiation of submucosal and muscle layers with unbroken angioarchitectonics and tree vascularization, a mixed type of color mapping of areas of blue and green with a slight predominance of blue areas and a stiffness coefficient in the range of 5.745 to 16.55 units diagnosed cancer in situ of the rectum. If there is a violation of the structure of the intestinal wall with infiltration of the tumor into the submucosal layer of the rectum with its partial differentiation or the impossibility of determining the submucosal layer, in case of violation of angioarchitectonics and a mixed type of color mapping with a predominance of 60–70 % of blue areas and a stiffness factor of more than 16.55 units, a malignant tumor of the rectum is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides a high degree of accuracy and sufficient informative value of differential diagnosis of neoplasms of the rectum, more earlier and objective forecasting of their development due to a combination of objective data of ultrasonic endorectal dopplerography and compression rectal elastography.
