SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. To stimulate the growth of species of the genus Rhododendron L. presowing seed treatment in an aqueous solution of a chemical compound is carried out. 4-methyl-2-piperidin-1-yl-pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid or 2-benzylamino-4-methylpyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid is used as the chemical compound, or 4-methyl-2-morpholin-4-yl-pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid in a concentration of 0.01–0.1 % in an aqueous solution. Additionally, an emulsifier is used which is a mixture of monoglycerides of sunflower oil fatty acids, palm oil fatty acid monoglycerides and polyglycerol heptaesters and palm oil fatty acids in a 1:1:2 ratio, at a concentration of 0.1 %.
