FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular, to plant growth regulators. 2-benzylamino-4-methylpyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid is used as a sugar beet growth stimulator, wherein the seeds are soaked in an aqueous suspension with a mass fraction of 2-benzylamino-4-methylpyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid of 0.01% to 0.1%, with an 18 h exposure in the seeds:aqueous suspension volume ratio of 1:1 at a temperature of 22 °C.
EFFECT: proposed application of 2-benzylamino-4-methylpyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid expands the scope of sugar beet growth stimulants and increases the seed germination energy by 29 to 55%, seed germination capacity by 25 to 53%, average seedling length by 43 to 70%, 100-seedling weight by 61 to 80% relative to untreated seeds.
