FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to biotechnology, namely, to the preservation of cells. Solution for the preservation of cells and a method for its preparation, a method for preserving cells, a method of manufacturing fixed cells, and a method for analyzing cells are proposed. Cell preservation solution contains from 20 to 60 % by volume of a lower alcohol having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and from 6 to 82 mmol/l of a divalent metal ion in an aqueous solvent. Method of cell preservation involves immersing cells in vitro into the resulting cell preservation solution. Method for manufacturing fixed cells involves contacting the cells in vitro with a solution for preserving the cells, resulting in the cells becoming fixed. Fixed cells can be analyzed to determine the amount of nucleic acids.
EFFECT: inventions promote the stabilization of DNA in cells, with DNA in the cells stably maintained even in the case of storage at 30 °C.
