SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to water treatment and virology and can be used in fish farms. In order to inactivate the IPN virus, a device comprising a conduit having an inlet to receive liquid to be treated and containing infectious pancreatic necrosis virus (IPNV), as well as an outlet to discharge treated liquid, and an ultraviolet lamp, are used. Lamp is a polychromatic lamp that emits UV light substantially in a wavelength range of 200-245 or 260-400 nm and exhibits internal pressure greater than 0.16 MPa, or a monochromatic lamp that emits at a single wavelength selected from a wavelength range of 100-245 or 260-400 nm.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of inactivating the IPN virus while reducing energy costs.
