FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to radiology, and can be used for pharmacological protection against ionizing radiation. Method comprises parenteral administration of 1-isobutanoyl-2-isopropyl isothiourea hydrobromide (compound T1023) in a dose of 1/12 to 1/4 LD16 20–60 minutes before the radiation exposure and 10–20 minutes after the radiation exposure, administer 5-methoxytryptamine hydrochloride in a dose of 1/24 to 1/6 LD16.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to provide high anti-radiation efficacy in the combined use of relatively low, more safe doses of pharmacological components due to their synergistic action.
