FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for obtaining a radioprotective agent 1-isobutanoyl-2-isopropylisothiourea hydrobromide, with the structural formula (I). The method consists in the fact that a mixture of isobutanoylthiourea in an amount of N mmol, isopropyl bromide in an amount of N×(1,4÷1,6) mmol and dry acetonitrile in a volume of N×(0.24÷0.27) ml is heated in a sealed ampoule at a temperature of 90°C for 10 hours. Then the contents of the ampoule are transferred to a flask, acetonitrile is evaporated for 20 minutes, the remainder is filtered out, washed with diethyl ether in a volume of N×(0.45÷0.55) ml. After that, it is recrystallized twice from ethyl acetate: the first time – with activated carbon powder Silicon CW20 in the amount of N×(6÷9) mg, the second time – without coal, and the yield of the final product is: N×(0.36÷0.42) mmol.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the yield of the final product, a decrease in the duration of the process of obtaining the final product of 1-isobutanoyl-2-isopropylisothiourea hydrobromide.
