SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an oral care composition and use thereof. Disclosed oral care composition comprises the following components (A) and (B): (A) N-acylglutamic acid or a salt thereof in an amount of 0.005% by weight to 0.3% by weight; and (B) pyrophosphoric acid or salt thereof in an amount of 0.005% by weight to 0.5% by weight. Acyl group of component (A) is represented by one or more groups selected from a group consisting of a lauroyl group, a myristoyl group and a cocoyl group. Weight ratio ((B)/(A)) of component (B) to component (A) ranges from 0.05 to 40. Total content of component (A) and component (B) ranges from 0.01% by weight to 0.6% by weight. Also disclosed is the use said composition for cleaning teeth with a brush or for rinsing the mouth. Use of the composition allows for the complete removal of a protein deposit on the tooth surface, can effectively prevent the build-up of a protein deposit on the tooth surface and can give a good actual sensation of the cleansing result in the oral cavity.

EFFECT: presence of a certain amount of said N-acylglutamic acid in the composition provides excellent acid resistance and good stability of the disclosed composition when stored at low ambient temperatures.
