SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for recovering raw materials containing cellulose, plastics and metals from paper-containing waste, packaging materials or composite materials in which cellulose is first dissolved using ionic liquids, and the ionic liquids are reduced by precipitation, the method comprising the following processing steps: crushing the raw material, purifying the raw material, separating the fraction containing cellulose using water, resulting in a fraction of cellulose and the rest of the composite material, drying the fraction containing cellulose, dissolving the cellulose in the ionic liquid, precipitating the cellulose with a coagulant, separating the cellulose as a solid and drying the cellulose, separating the ionic liquid from the coagulant for the cellulose, purifying and removing the ionic liquid, dissolving plastic from the rest of the composite material, separating metal as a solid and drying of the metal, obtaining solvent from the plastic solution, recovering the solvent residue from the plastic, and extruding the plastic. Invention also relates to an installation which comprises one or more of the following main components: ionic liquid storage tank [LM1], separation unit [R1] for a cellulose-containing component, drying devices for the cellulose-containing component, for metal and for cellulose, tank [LM2] for storing a solvent intended for plastic, dissolving container [R2] and [R3] for cellulose precipitation, a cellulose separation unit or a metal separation unit, device [R4] for separating ionic liquid from coagulant, cellulose purification device, container [R6] for dissolving plastic, device [R7] for separating solvent from polymer solution, plastic extruder, heat exchangers [WT1, 2], filters [F1, 2] and pumps [P1, 2].
EFFECT: method enables recovery of all three types of basic components from paper-containing waste, packaging materials or composite materials, specifically cellulose, plastics and metal, in their original form and in a quality that best matches the new product.
