FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: one end of the pump-tube assembly is fluidly connected to the delivery artery. The other end of the pump-tube assembly is fluidly connected to the receiving location. Oxygenated blood is pumped from the delivery artery to the receiving location for 7 to 84 days, so that the wall shear stress in the delivery artery is 1.5 to 23 Pa. An arteriovenous fistula and an arteriovenous graft are created in the patient with a part of the delivery artery with a constantly enlarged outer diameter. The method is implemented by means of the claimed device.
EFFECT: increased diameter of the delivery artery, which remains after completion of pumping.
