FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for remote search of underground service lines and determination of their transverse dimension and depth of ground position comprises stages on which a three-coordinate magnetic antenna is connected to a receiver, the receiver with a three-coordinate antenna is placed on a unmanned air vehicle (UAV), the three-coordinate antenna is stabilized with respect to the earth surface, the UAV controlled from the central station is moved along the given trajectory at the given heights above the earth surface, above the area within which the underground structure is presumably laid, the coordinates of the UAV are determined, and the levels of the magnetic field components are measured at known coordinates with the help of the receiver, the data with measurement results is transmitted to the central station on which it is processed, and the distribution of levels of the component of the magnetic field on the surfaces above the underground structure is constructed. The distributions are obtained at least for two height values above the earth surface, and then, according to these distributions, the position of the underground service lines, its transverse dimension and the depth of ground position is determined.
EFFECT: increased position identification accuracy of underground service lines.
