FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a measurement technique and can be used for remote sensing the location of underground communications (pipelines, cables, etc.), their transverse size and depth in the ground. Method of using a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles for remote location of underground communications, their transverse size and depth in the ground is that at one end of the underground communication, a low-frequency generator is connected to its conductor-ground circuit, the device with sensors of the magnetic field components is moved above the surface of the earth above the section within which the underground communication is supposedly laid. Coordinates of the device with the sensors of the magnetic field components are then determined and, at these coordinates, the levels of the components of the magnetic field are measured, based on the results of measurements, two-dimensional functions of the distribution of the levels of the components of the magnetic field above the surface above the underground communication are constructed. In this case, N devices with sensors of magnetic field components are used for N≥4, each of which is installed on one of the N unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), forming a swarm of UAV, control this swarm of the UAV from the central station, under the control of which move the swarm of the UAV along a given trajectory with the specified relative position of the UAV vertically and horizontally above the ground surface above the section, within which supposedly laid underground communication. During the flight, the drones of the UAV fix the coordinates of each UAV, in which channels of communication from each UAV transmit to the central station the measurement data of the levels of the components of the magnetic field, based on the results of measurements of the levels of the magnetic field components and UAV coordinates data, two-dimensional distribution functions of the levels of the magnetic field components above the surface above the underground communication are constructed for more than two values of altitude above the earth's surface, based on the results of processing which determine the location of underground communications, their transverse size and depth of occurrence in the ground.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is the extension of the UAV application area.
