SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport of oil and gas and can be used for ballasting pipelines constructed or repaired in water-flooded trenches. Method of ballasting a pipeline in a water-flooded trench includes ballasting weights fastening on the lower part of the pipeline with the help of detachable power belts and screeds. Ballasting weights, made in the form of reinforced concrete parallelepipeds, containing a depression in the upper part, with the opened power belts connected to the mounting belts, they are laid on the bottom of the trench or in the pits arranged on the bottom of the trench. Then, the ballasting weights are lifted up to the bottom of the pipeline laid in the trench, and then fixed to the floating pipeline, kept at the water surface or laid on the bottom of the trench pipeline.

EFFECT: reduction of labor intensity of installation, increased operational reliability of a pipeline.
