SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to diagnose tuberculous etiology of pleurisy. In method for diagnosing tuberculous etiology of pleurisy, pleural exudate is placed 1 ml into tubes No. 1, 2, 3, 4. In this case, the test tube No. 1 is the control, which is used to determine the baseline level of interferon-γ. Cells contained in pleural fluid in test tubes No. 2, 3, 4, subject to specific antigenic stimulation with the drug “Diaskintest”. To do this, add 20 mcl of the Diaskintest preparation to test tube No. 2, 50 mcl of Diaskintest preparation are introduced into tube No. 3, 100 mcl of Diaskintest preparation is introduced into tube No. 4. After incubation, the concentration of interferon-γ, which in the presence of pleurisy of tuberculosis etiology increases with respect to baseline in at least one test tube. In this case, the difference in the concentration of the stimulated and baseline levels is no less than 1,256 pg/ml in tube No. 2, at least 1,156 pg/ml in tube No. 3, at least 977 pg/ml in tube No. 4.

EFFECT: use of this method allows for differential immunological diagnosis of tuberculous pleurisy.
