METHOD OF VISUALIZING METALLIC STENTS IN CORONARY ARTERIES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A01N1/02

Abstract RU 2664628 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to the pathological anatomy of a human, and can be used to visualize metallic stents in the coronary arteries. Impregnate a portion of the heart wall with an implanted metal structure with a mixture of ED-20 epoxy resin and TETA hardener in a ratio of 20:1. Leave the preparation immersed until the resin is completely hardened. Then, the hardened block with the preparation is cut into sections with a thickness of 0.3 to 2 mm. Then again, impregnate the sections with a mixture of resin and hardener in a ratio of 10:1. After hardening the resin, the sections are examined in the transmitted and reflected light.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the efficiency of morphological research due to the possibility of evaluating the topography of the metal implant at the sites of furcation of the arteries and the degree of deformation of the atherosclerotic plaque during stenting, as well as due to the possibility of sawing a metal stent along with a frozen coronary artery without destroying its walls.
