FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Method for measuring intraocular pressure consists in exposing the surface of the eye cornea to an air stream in the form of a plurality of pneumatic pulses, the magnitude of which varies from a minimum value in increasing order. Deformation of the surface of the cornea of the eye is measured at the same time. In this case, the intraocular pressure is determined from the value of the minimum pressure of pulses of the pneumatic flow, under the influence of which the deformation of the surface of the cornea occurs. Device consists of a sealed housing with an outlet, in which a compressor, a pressure gauge and a distance sensor are located. With the help of the compressor, many pneumatic pulses are formed.
EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will reduce unpleasant sensations when carrying out measurements of intraocular pressure.
