SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to assess the intensity of tissue respiration. For this, perform a blood test. Sample 50 mcl of blood from any phalanx of the finger of the hand or from the contour of the cardiopulmonary bypass. Then dilute the sample of blood 100 times with 0.9 % sodium chloride solution. Then apply 40 mcl of the thus diluted blood to a slide and cover with a cover slip of 20 × 20 mm size and a thickness of not more than 150 mcm. After that, analyze the blood by a microscope. In this case use a measuring grid with square cells for counting red blood cells, inserted in the eyepiece, and count total number of erythrocytes in square cells along two mutually perpendicular directions. Determine the ratio of erythrocytes – echinocytes and erythrocytes with processes less than 0.5 microns. At the same time, a decrease in this ratio below 4 indicates the presence of pathological processes, reflected by a violation of tissue respiration.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to assess the intensity of tissue respiration in the human body in normal, with exercise, in pathology, as well as in operations under conditions of artificial circulation.
