SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a toner comprising a polyester resin. Described is a toner comprising a polyester resin including a segment derived from an alcohol component, and a segment derived from a carboxylic acid component in which the alcohol component contains a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic alcohol with a higher valency and which satisfies the following expressions (1) – (3): 500 ≤ weight-average molecular weight (Mw)/((Valence of a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic alcohol with a higher valence) x (Amount of a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or aliphatic alcohol with a higher valence)) ≤ 4,000 (expression (1)); 4,000 ≤ weight-average molecular weight (Mw) ≤ 25000 (expression (2)) and 0.5 ≤ (Amount of a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or aliphatic alcohol with a higher valence) ≤ 6.5 (expression (3)), where in expressions (1) and (3) the amount of trivalent aliphatic alcohol or aliphatic alcohol with a higher valency indicates the molar percentage of a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic alcohol with a higher valence relative to the alcohol component, wherein said toner contains a tetrahydrofuran (THF)-insoluble substance in which the tetrahydrofuran-insoluble substance contains a second polyester resin in which the components of the second polyester resin comprise a diol component and a crosslinking component in which the diol component comprises 50 mol % or more of an aliphatic diol having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and in which the crosslinking component comprises a trivalent aliphatic alcohol or an aliphatic alcohol with a higher valence, wherein the amount of the second polyester resin is from 5 parts by weight to 25 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of toner and wherein the second polyester resin contains at least one of a urethane bond and a urea bond. Developer comprising said toner and a carrier is also described. Imaging apparatus comprising said toner is described.
EFFECT: technical result is a toner having a satisfactory ability to low-temperature fixation, stability in storage at high temperature and high humidity, characterized by the absence of white voids after transfer, forming images that are glossy and resistant to sticking.
