FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of industrial ecology, in particular to a method for producing a sorption material for wastewater treatment and water treatment. Method for producing the sorbent comprises the following steps: the brucite is thermally treated at a temperature of 250–300 °C, then milled to a particle size of 0.05–0.001 mm and mixed with dust from firing clay. Mixture is poured into a mixer, where granules of 0.4–2.0 mm size are rolled. Granules are thermally treated at a temperature of 800–1,000 °C.
EFFECT: invention provides a sorbent in the form of thermally modified brucite on an aluminosilicate framework with improved physical and mechanical properties.
