FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of aluminum alloys, in particular to a method for deoxidizing fused aluminum alloys. Method for deoxidizing the Al-Nb-Ti alloy comprises melting and holding an alloy containing 50 to 75 % by weight of Al and 5 to 30 % by weight of Nb with a total content of Al and Nb of 80 % by mass or less, using the initial aluminum, niobium and titanium materials with a total oxygen content of 0.5 % by weight or more, wherein the melting is carried out by a melting method using a water-cooled copper vessel in the atmosphere at a pressure of 1.33 Pa to 2.67 × 105 Pa at a temperature of 1900 K or more.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reducing oxygen in Al-Nb-Ti alloy, with the possibility of obtaining it without using a high vacuum from a low-grade starting material with a high oxygen content.
