FIELD: container and packing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a container for machine-building and instrument-making products, in particular, to containers for artillery shells, small arms ammunition, rockets and missiles, pyrotechnic devices, as well as other products, in the course of operation and storage of which exposure to open flames and high temperatures is possible for a limited time. Container comprises hollow body 1 and hollow cover 2, cavities of which are filled with foamed fire-resistant polymeric material 3 based on phenol-formaldehyde resins. All the elements of body 1 and cover 2 are made of sheet metal with the thickness of 0.3–1 mm by the method of cold plastic deformation and are joined together by welding. Cavities of body 1 and cover 2 are filled with foamed fire-resistant polymeric material 3 based on phenol-formaldehyde resins through pouring holes. Container is tested by fire effect according to GOST 30247.0 for 30 minutes, while the temperature inside the container rose only up to 120°C.
EFFECT: exposure to open flames and high temperatures for a limited time is possible.
