SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the wood processing industry, in particular to the treatment of wood with organic substances. Hydrophobation agent is applied onto the surface of wood. Aqueous dispersion of fortified coniferous wood rosin or saponified coniferous wood rosin is used as the hydrophobation agent. Coniferous wood rosin binds onto the surface of wood, forming a coating on the surface of wood. Wood product is made from untreated wood. Wood has a coniferous wood rosin coating formed by fortified coniferous wood rosin or saponified coniferous wood rosin on its surface.
EFFECT: use of an aqueous dispersion of fortified coniferous wood rosin or saponified coniferous wood rosin as a coniferous wood rosin coating on the surface of untreated wood improves the water repellent properties of wood, prevents the penetration of microorganisms into the wood.
