In the method, a bar code is applied to each car, in which a unique access key to information in the information system for a particular car is encoded, including an inventory number, herewith the unique access key to be included in the bar code is initially generated in the information system and entered into the database of the information system, and after that, using a bar code scanner and a barcode reader software that interacts with the information system to which authorized access is provided, the bar code applied to the car is scanned and the unique access key encoded in the bar code is simultaneously bound to the inventory number of this car and information about this car previously entered in the information system that activates the bar code in the information system.

EFFECT: expansion of the possibilities and reliability of identification is achieved.
