SUBSTANCE: device for automatic identification of a waggon number has a navigation identifier which includes a GLONASS/GPS navigation receiver, a GSM/GPRS modem and a main microcontroller. The microcontroller includes a real time clock, an additional microcontroller, nonvolatile memory, a power module supplied by an on-board electric mains and a self-contained power supply. The main microcontroller is connected to the additional microcontroller, the GLONASS/GPS navigation receiver, the GSM/GPRS modem and the nonvolatile memory. The power module supplied by an on-board electric mains and the self-contained power supply are connected independently of each other to the main and additional microcontroller, the GLONASS/GPS navigation receiver and the GSM/GPRS modem. The device also has GLONASS/GPS+GSM antenna system.
EFFECT: automatically obtaining information on the location of each waggon.
