SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a sub-frame assembly for supporting a pair of wheels on a vehicle. Method of manufacturing a light-metal sub-frame for a vehicle comprises extruding a base, a suspension arm bracket and a mounting support. According to a first version, the base and mounting support are assembled with the suspension arm bracket so that the directions for extruding the base, suspension arm bracket and the mounting support are not coaxial. According to a second version, the base and the mounting support are assembled with the suspension arm bracket by means of the friction welding of the base mounting and the mounting support with the suspension arm in such a way that the directions for extruding the base, the suspension arm bracket and the mounting support are not coaxial.
EFFECT: higher technological efficiency of the sub-frame assembly.
