FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring and controlling misalignment refers to methods for measuring twice the misalignment value by known methods, for example by measuring the readings with the meter at position 12:00 and then at 6:00. Then, the true misalignment value is set on the meter by shifting the meter by half of the result obtained or by replacing it with a meter with a smaller range in which the true misalignment is set. And then the misalignment is adjusted until the true misalignment value is equal to twice the misalignment value.

EFFECT: technical effect is increased accuracy of measurement and regulation.
