FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrical connector component used at high power. Electrical connection component for the machine cable, suitable for transmitting power with voltage levels greater than or equal to 1 kV, comprises a first electrical contact adapted to be electrically connected to a second contact and with the possibility of direct or indirect connection with the conductor of the machine cable. Electrical connector component also includes a skin in which at least a portion of the first electrical contact is located. Skin has a body portion formed of a first polymeric material having a first stiffness. Skin also has a layer covering at least a portion of the outer surface of the housing part, said layer being formed of a second polymeric material having a second stiffness lower than the first stiffness.
EFFECT: providing the electrical connection component with a layer that reduces the transfer of the external impact force to the housing part.
