FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the used at high power electrical connector. Electrical connection component suitable for power transmission with voltage levels greater than or equal to 1 kV, and comprising a skin having an inner part and having an end of the machine cable, an end of the joint, an electrical contact assembly at least a part of which is located at the end of the skin connection. In this case, said electrical contact assembly is disposed for electrically connecting to an additional electrical contact node of the other electrical connection component. Electrical connection component also comprises a detachable member located at least partially inside the skin at the end of the joint to ensure closure of the end portion of the skin to reduce contamination of the inner region. Skin and the detachable member are arranged in such a way that at least a portion of the inner region can be inspected when the detachable member is at least partially removed from the skin.
EFFECT: providing an electrical connector that facilitates inspection of the inner region of the electrical connector for damage.
