FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aluminium cell component, comprising from 0.01 to less than 0.5% by weight of metal additives, wherein the metal additions are selected from a group consisting of Cr, Mn, Mo, Pt, Pd, Fe, Ni, Co and W and combinations thereof; the balance being TiB2 and unavoidable impurities, wherein the unavoidable impurities make up less than 2% by weight of the component; wherein the component has a density of at least 85% to not more than 99% of its theoretical density.
EFFECT: invention also relates to an electrode, an electrolysis cell and a method for producing a component.
