FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to pendulum crankshafts for internal combustion engines. More specifically, the inventive concept proposed relates to a pendulum crank cycloid insert for a pendulum crankshaft having integral carrier. Pendulum crankshaft for an internal combustion engine includes a pendulum crankshaft having pendulum crank cycloid inserts. Inserts may thus be formed from high-grade hardened steel while the crankshaft may be formed from conventional iron. Pendulum crankshaft for an internal combustion engine includes a crankshaft having pendulum-holding ears. First pendulum-holding ears is formed on said crankshaft. First cycloid insert is fitted into the first pendulum-holding ear, wherein the first cycloid insert comprises a first cycloid path formed therethrough. First locking pin serves to secure the first cycloid insert in the first pendulum-holding ear. Second pendulum-holding ear is formed next to and is distanced from the first pendulum-holding ear on the cranked shaft. Second cycloid insert is fitted into the second pendulum-holding ear, wherein the second cycloid insert comprises a second cycloid path formed therethrough. Second locking pin serves to secure the second cycloid insert in the second pendulum-holding ear. Pendulum is movably attached to the first and second pendulum-holding ears, the pendulum comprising recessed regions. Pair of limiters is formed on the inner surfaces opposite to the ears. Each of the limiters is provided with a corresponding buffer partially extending into the corresponding one of the recessed areas. First roller pin is inserted through the first cycloid path to secure the pendulum to the first pendulum-holding ear. Second roller pin is inserted through the second cycloid path to secure the pendulum to the second pendulum-holding ear.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of engine thrust limit for a relatively low number of revolutions per minute.
