SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for stimulating the formation of one or more extracellular matrix components that comprise lipoamino acid derivative of carnosine tripeptide such as N-octanoylcarnosine. Also compositions comprising N-octanoylcarnosine in combination with selected tripeptides and/or tetrapeptides, as well as pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic compositions containing such compositions are provided.
EFFECT: invention further provides methods of using the composition and compositions of the invention for treatment, alleviation and/or alleviation of a symptom, condition, disorder or skin disease or mucosa, where the symptom, condition, disorder or disease is associated with changes in the components of the extracellular matrix.
