FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for drying solutions to produce a granular product having increased hygroscopicity and can be used in various fields of chemical technologies and related industries. Catalyst drying and calcining unit comprises a plunger pump for feeding the stock solution, an impurity separation filter, a spray dryer for drying and granulating the catalyst from the solution, battery cyclones for catching the finished product and sending it to a screw or belt conveyor of the dried product. Drying agent is fed to the calcination unit through the heat generator. System for supplying the wet starting product is in the form of a sprayer comprising a hollow cylindrical body, an external thread is provided at its upper part to connect a liquid distribution conduit to the fitting. In the lower part of the case an outer thread is made for connection to vortex flow splitter. Body has an inner cylindrical chamber which serves to supply liquid and in which, coaxially with a gap with respect to the inner side surface of the chamber, a hollow conical swirler, made in the form of a conical surface with a screw through thread. Top of the swirler is fixed on the end surface of the rod. Vortex flow dissector is fixed to the body by means of a casing having an internal thread and made in the form of a ring to which two diametrically located vertical plates are attached, connected in the lower part by a horizontally arranged rod, in the middle of which there is a second swirler, made in the form of a disk with helical blades, covering with a gap a rod in its middle part and having rims at the edges in the form of disks located perpendicular to the rod.
EFFECT: improved quality of drying and calcining processes.
