FIELD: heating, drying.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technique of drying solutions and suspensions that allows obtaining a granulated product with improved hygroscopic properties and may be used in various branches of the chemical engineering and allied industries where higher requirements are imposed upon the value of final water content of the product. In a plant for suspension drying and baking that that comprises piston pump for supplying initial solution, filter for separating impurities, spray drier meant for drying and granulating a catalyst from the solution, multicyclones for trapping the end product and forwarding it to a screw or a band end product conveyer, whereby a flow of recycle (off-grade fines) is forwarded by an exhaust fan to a Venturi scrubber where it is collected into a tank from a hopper part of the scrubber in the form of slurry and from a drop catcher, then the pump supplies solution to the scrubber and the fan supplies drying agent via the heat generator to a baking apparatus, and the separator supplies end product into a pneumatic conveyer cyclone. Moreover, said baking apparatus is used to provide two-stage baking temperature setting and to ensure catalyst staying for a specified time at each stage: the first stage is provided by supplying drying agent to the top section of the apparatus, and a vapor-gas medium coming into contact with catalyst particles is supplied to the bottom section of the apparatus, the end product is forwarded to a product cooler, whereby the scrubber with and drop catcher are used for the process of final recycle trapping and filtering of exhaust drying agent. Moreover, the plant is equipped with a waste heat-carrying medium filtering circuit, an end product cooler, a proportioning feeder, a product conveyer inside the plant and an end product hopper. According to the invention, the spray drier comprises a group of spray nozzles, each of them having the form of an acoustic spray nozzle that contains an acoustic generator with a resonator having the form of a toroidal cavity arranged inside the central rod. The toroidal cavity axis is arranged coaxially towards the housing and the cavity itself is connected by at least one calibrated orifice with an annular slot formed by the barrel and rod faces on the flange tapered side.
EFFECT: improving the drying and baking efficiency.
