SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to mining machines, more particularly to a service tool for a cutting-head assembly of a mining machine. Tool for inserting and removing the crown sleeve relative to the bit holder channel includes a drive assembly, rod, first nut and second nut. Actuator assembly includes a cylinder, a plunger and a channel extending through the cylinder and the plunger. Cylinder includes an inner chamber supporting the plunger, the first end, the second end and the interaction surface located near the first end. Plunger is movable relative to the cylinder and is adjacent to the second end of the cylinder. Stem continues through the drive channel assembly. First nut is optionally connected to one of the first end of the rod and the second end of the stem and forms a first dimension greater than the width of the bit holder channel. Second nut is optionally connected to the other one from the first end of the rod and the second end of the stem and forms a second dimension that is smaller than the width of the channel.
