SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry. Refractory ceramic casting nozzle (10) comprises refractory ceramic housing (12) of a tubular shape. Housing (12) is provided with inner surface (12i) and outer peripheral surface (12o). Inner surface (12i) of the casting nozzle surrounds casting channel (14) extending along axial extension (L) of the casting nozzle between inlet (16) at first end (18) of the casting nozzle and one outlet at the second end of the casting nozzle. Outer peripheral surface (12o) of the casting nozzle of first end (18) is enclosed in metal casing (20) extending along a portion of axial extension (L) of first end (18) of the casting nozzle. In annular recess (24) formed along outer peripheral surface (12o) of casting nozzle, material (30) expanding under the heat load is arranged between peripheral surface (12o) of casting nozzle and metal casing (20). Material (30) is mounted in the form of one or more annular bands of intumescent composition. It is designed to create compression forces in ceramic refractory shell (12) of more than 0.1 N/mm2.
EFFECT: decreased formation of cracks in a typical casting nozzle is ensured.
