FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the compositions of iron-based alloys used in machine building. Iron-based alloy contains, wt. %: carbon 4.3–4.7; silicon 0.2–0.6; manganese 0.4–0.9; boron 0.3–0.5; vanadium 0.2–0.25; aluminum 3.0–3.5; magnesium 0.005–0.01; calcium 0.0008–0.0012; copper 2.2–2.6; strontium 0.005–0.01; iron – the rest.
EFFECT: result of the invention is improved hardenability of the alloy.
