FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to bacterial strains Clostridium ghonii capable of suppressing the growth of, regressing or destroying solid tumours, as well as to use thereof. Proposed are strains Clostridium ghonii MW-DCG_HNCv18, Clostridium ghonii MW-DCG_CCv17 and Clostridium ghonii MW-DCG_LCv26, deposited in the National Measurement Institute (National Measurement Institute, 1/153 Bertie Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 3207) under the appropriate registration numbers V12/001485, V12/001487 and V12/001486. Proposed strains are used to suppress the growth of a solid tumour, regressing or destroying thereof in a subject, for treating such a tumor in a subject, for preparing a medicament for treating a solid tumour. Proposed strains can also be used to suppress or treat a solid tumour as part of a pharmaceutical composition or as part of a kit.
EFFECT: proposed are oncolytic Clostridium ghonii strains, and methods of production and use.
