FIELD: physics; protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protection of equipment for low pressure gas systems. Valve passes the specified flow in any direction, but intercepts it when the operating conditions are violated. Safety valve contains a hollow body, the inner cavity of which is a truncated cone, the latter, when the valve is in the working position, being located with a wide base down, two nozzles having a seat in the form of a surface of rotation on the ends of the body, and a ball-shaped locking element which, when the valve is operated, freely moves between the seats of the upper and lower nozzles. Area of the gap formed between the truncated cone of the body and the ball, when it is located in the seat of the lower nozzle, is equal to the area of the flow-through section of the nozzles. Upper base of the truncated cone and the ball have a clearance fit. On the surface of rotation of the seat of the lower nozzle there are two or more grooves along its generatrix, which together with the ball form gaps.
EFFECT: safety valve for low-pressure gas systems is proposed.
