FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of radar ranging and can be used in radar location stations (RLS). Radiating or illuminated by the external radioelectronic means target path tracking method is based on its direction finding by radiations or reflections by means of n≥2 space-distributed direction finders and on the target range calculation, at that, during the space scanning with the active radar (RLS) in the active mode, based on transmitted to the RLS from n≥2 direction finders bearings data, performing the targets bearings independent tracking, eliminating corresponding to the false targets bearings intersection points, on the basis of transmitted data on the real targets bearings, forming bearing change graphs from the direction finders location points, by means of extrapolation determining the bearings values for different time points, based on them calculating ranges to the target, keeping tracking in the passive mode along the bearings and the trajectory range, occasionally updating its position in the active mode, in addition, updating the trajectory location when changing the target radiation parameters or during break in radiation.

EFFECT: reduction in equipped with the direction finders RLS active mode using time, during radiating or illuminated by the external radioelectronic means target path independent tracking and exclusion of the false targets.
