SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio-electronic monitoring and radar systems and can be used in the development of promising passive-active radio-electronic monitoring stations or in the modernization of existing ones. In the claimed method, an object is searched and detected in the direction indicated, its coordinates (range) are measured using radar and tracking by radiation (re-emissions) using the velocity value measured using the active radar channel. To determine the coordinates of the target, the projections of the target velocity vector on the axis of the Cartesian coordinate system are calculated and the distance to the target is indirectly calculated from the measurements of the target bearings by the passive radar channel. Additionally, the radial velocities of targets, angular coordinates of targets and their first derivatives are calculated, thereby providing support for maneuvering targets.

EFFECT: reduction in the operating time of radio-electronic monitoring stations for radiation in the process of locating the target and tracking it.
