FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: device can be used for contact welding with a cooled electrode. Cylindrical electrode is mounted in the electrode holder with the possibility of its axial movement. Hollow electrode holder is configured to cool the outer surface of the electrode using refrigerant and is provided with elements for reusable mechanical fastening in its electrode cavity located at least on the side of the electrode outlet. Electrode holder is provided with apertures for the coolant, at least one of which is located in the discharge zone of the electrode, and the electrode is connected to an electrical power source by means of a galvanic contact located on the electrode outlet side. Contact surface of the elements for mechanical fastening of the electrode is embossed.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the life of the device in conditions of intensive use.
