ELECTRODE HOLDER OF WELDING TONGS FOR CONTACT POINT WELDING (CPW) Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC B23K11/10 B23K11/30

Abstract RU 2618285 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: holder rod of the welding tong stationary electrode, formed by bending to produce straight sections at its ends and a curved portion between them, has a longitudinal channel for circulating the refrigerant. At one end of the rod there is a cavity, in which a bushing is installed and a fitting is fitted to connect to the refrigerant supplying means and the pipeline. At the other end, a transverse cavity is provided for securing the replaceable electrode. The pipeline consists of two rigid and flexible parts connected to each other. The end of the pipeline rigid part is fixed in the said bushing. A flexible part of the pipeline is located in the channel for circulating the refrigerant of the curved rod section and abuts against the bottom of this channel. In the area of the rigid pipe installation, a transverse window is provided in the rod for withdrawing the heated refrigerant, which is open to the said channel.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability and technology of tongs for contact point welding.
