FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry and biotechnology, in particular to a modified colostric protein. Said protein is used to enhance the immune response in an animal and has the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. Present protein is different from the wild type colostric protein in that the amino acid residues Ile at position 33, Glu at position 101 and Arg at position 175 are replaced by Ala, Cys and Cys, respectively. Present invention also relates to an animal fodder comprising said modified colostric protein and to the use of said protein for producing a fodder to enhance the immune response in an animal.
EFFECT: present invention allows producing an animal fodder providing the increased immune response in an animal.
