FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, specifically to the production of exosomes with immunogenic peptides from pigs that have suffered a respiratory disease caused by the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (hereinafter – PRRSV); it can be used in veterinary medicine for the treatment or prevention of an infectious disease caused by PRRSV. An immunogenic enriched preparation of immunogenic exosomes containing the immunogenic peptide PRRSV with SEQ ID NO:18 is obtained from a plasma or serum sample that lacks PRRSV. The specified sample is taken from a pig that does not have a virus, which (a) has suffered a respiratory disease caused by the PRRSV virus, and (b) does not have PRRSV causing the specified disease; where signs (a) and (b) are determined in the specified pig sample by performing RT-PCR and detecting antibodies against PRRSV. At the same time, the animal has suffered the specified disease and is free of the pathogen, if RT-PCR is negative, but antibodies against PRRSV are detected.
EFFECT: invention provides induction of an immune response against PRRSV in pigs.
