SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of self-position. Estimation of self-position is carried out by the device, which detects the position of the landmark for the landmark that is present in the environment of the mobile object, detects the amount of movement of the mobile object and accumulates the positions of the landmarks, each of which is obtained by moving the detected position of the landmark by the amount of movement. Then receives cartographic information, including the positions of the landmarks present on the map, by means of a controller, compares fragments of these landmark positions in a certain area with the positions of the landmarks included in the cartographic information, and evaluates the proper position of the mobile object, and a certain region is set based on the records of moving the mobile object moving to the current position.
EFFECT: improved evaluation precision of self-position.
