FIELD: recycling and disposal of waste; nuclear physics and technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the localization of liquid radioactive waste, in particular to compositions for curing liquid radioactive solutions and pulps by vitrifying them. Alumophosphate glass contains the following components, wt. %: Na2O 19.0–23.0; Al2O3 13.0–16.0; P2O5 46.0–51.0; modifying additive 1.0–14.0; amount of waste oxides, including Al2O3, impurities of oxides of monovalent and multivalent elements 19.0–22.0. As a modifying additive, lead oxide, zinc oxide, sodium bromide or various combinations thereof with silicon oxide are used.
EFFECT: reduction of crystallization effects in alumophosphate glasses with cured radioactive waste under thermal action near the devitrification temperatures (450–550 °C), including slow cooling from 1,000 to 400 °C.
